Watch How the eDos Automates Ingredient Dosing

Written by Mike Miller | Oct 30, 2026

If you’re still weighing and kitting minor ingredients by hand, this demo shows what that step can look like when it’s controlled, contained, and repeatable.

Recorded at the AZO booth at PACK EXPO in Chicago, watch as Mike Miller and Austin Griffin walk through the AZO®eDos stand-alone dosing station from start to finish. You’ll see them load a fine powder into the system, set the run from the touchscreen control panel, and then watch up close as the PU dosing funnel meters material into the target vessel.

The eDos uses a gap-based design. A servo-electric actuator presses on a flexible dosing lip to open a defined gap, and a spring element closes it again when the actuator releases. No rotating parts touch the raw material. As the scale nears its setpoint, the system steps down through coarse, fine, and extra-fine modes, which is how the standard version reaches batch accuracy of ±1 gram.
