Securing Flour Purity for a High-Volume Pretzel Manufacturer

The Problem

A well-known pretzel manufacturer needed better control over incoming flour quality. Without a reliable screening system, out-of-spec flour could reach production — creating costly quality issues and compromising final product consistency.

A precision-engineered system built to screen and protect

The Solution

AZO designed a custom flour preparation system that guided all incoming flour through a precise sequence. First, flour passed over magnets to remove magnetic contaminants. It then moved through a screener to catch oversized materials, bugs, and irregularities. Finally, it was entoleted to eliminate eggs and larval flour beetles in quarantined silos. If flour was flagged as substandard at any point, the system transferred the load back to the delivery truck — keeping out-of-spec material from reaching production.
